Hydraulic systems in construction, manufacturing, material handling, marine and outdoor equipment can experience substantial temperature variation between start-up and full operation. A suitable high-viscosity-index hydraulic oil is formulated to limit viscosity change with temperature more effectively than a conventional lower-VI fluid, helping the lubricant remain appropriately fluid at lower temperatures while retaining useful film thickness as the system becomes hotter.
